Looking to color my corals up little more I haved very good color but some corals will not color up for me.

Tank is a 240
alk 7.5
cal 430
mag 1500
Temp 78
PH 8.5
Phos not sure sorry never test for it but do have Phosban reactor and refugium with Cheato

what do you mean color up ?

are they brown ? or are they pale ?

any pics ?

also should get a No3 and po4 test kit. how else do u know when its time to replace the po4 remover ?

Definitely need to know the N and P levels.

How old is the tank?
What lights are you using?
How are you supplementing calcium and alk? Do they swing?

Change Phosban every 2 months N never been a issue but I will test.
3 250 2OXm supplment of LED
no alk swing at all
I hand dose everything daily

Some corals will just not color up. Do you know what they are? Are they long-term captives where you can get a critical mass of success to see what they should look like? Are the AQ or wild colonies that just might never look good?

If you don't know your P level, you could be stripping it too low with the phosban. If you don't have a phosphate problem, you should run use it... or use less.
