Colorado Sunburst BTA

Are these anemone completely orange? I have a BTA that is orange at least half of each tentacle, but turn green and the base is green.

These are pictures from last month. The pictures do not look right in this photo because everything seems to have a pink hue. I'll see if I can find anything else.

Here in Colorado lots of people sell them and you know it's the real deal. If you can get better pics would be willing to try and help but given the name and pictures I am not sure it's I true Colorado sunburst.

I'm wondering that myself. Are you here just to argue or what?

The color, shape and almost everything on a BTA, can/will change with lighting, water chemistry, etc. It is impossible to tell from a picture what made up color name it is. Besides the fact that several of the "named" anemone colors are the same morph.

wow..............how do you do it?

Experience and research. There are Colorado sellers on another forum. As andrewbram stated, the look of a Colorado is distinctive. I don't want to repost other people's photos but you can do a web search and find some. Plus, Louis doesn't sell colorados. I've bought a few of his orange ones and they have always looked great.

The op asked if he had a Colorado bta. I advised him that he didn't. Please explain how that is argumentative? I certainly don't mean to argue, although I do love a lively debate once in a while.

I'm pretty sure she was referring to you telling cet98 that his anemone wasn't a sunburst either.

If you have looked at pics of these like you say, you would know that once they go to a different aquarium, no two look exactly alike. To say that one tri-color BTA is immediately distinguishable to the point where you can tell the origin of the clone, just from a picture, is a bit of a stretch IMO.

For example, I was going to have you try and name these morphs, but I will just tell you, they are all the same anemone. Not the same clone, but the exact same individual anemone. I seriously doubt there is anyone that could have IDed these as all being the same anemone.

Awesome pics phender, that goes to show how much light can determine how the color of an anemone can look so different.I wouldn't have guessed they were the same anemone.

not what I was referring too.............with all your experience I'm surprised you didn't know that...

excellent photo diary of color changes....one of my favorite parts of this hobby is finding the "hidden gems" that pop up when placed in the "right" lighting.....
