Here are some pics of some pieces I have that have colored up in the last two months. I finally feel like I have this tank thing under control and am making my way towards TOTM. ;)

This pic is from my old 112gallon tank. This coral has been to hell and back. I almost tossed it when I put it in my 190gallon.

On the flip side of things.... I am having problems with this Mycedium. From what I read its because Im blasting it with light. Its on the bottom of a 30" tall tank but under 400watts.

Can you believe I traded an elegance for it!
When it was shipped to me it broke off three nice frags. Me being a stupid rookie used two part epoxy to mount them and they where pure white.

I have been thinking of cutting frags to trade.
Im looking for blue zoos, milliporas or teal stags.

magic:eek1:

JK. The differance was mostly due to equipment. Most of this stuff came from my old 112 gallon. My new tank has all the bells and whistles. Although only a couple months old.... its starting to really settle in.

Good job. Usually when my corals color up like that, it just means my photoshop skills have improved. j.k.

Beside having better equipment (i.e skimmer etc..), have you added or changed any water parameters? (mag, calc, alk level). Did you add a phosphate removal reactor, for example? I'm interested to learn the magic.

Thanks.

If you want to know the magic then click on my red house. Thats my tank build and everything that I have.
As far as parameters... I rarely check for things. Besides having a kalk reactor and calcium reactor I dont add anything to the tank or adjust my water before I change it. I use Seachem reef salt and recently used that Red Sea salt given out at RAP. I like the stuff. Mixes clean as where my Seachem leaves a residue on the trash can.
