Colt Coral isn't growing, why?

Hi everybody,

I have a colt coral for approximately 7 -8 months. I always hear that this coral is really good for begginers and it grows fast. I didn't notice much difference on mine since the day of purchase. I have a 55gal with MH 175watts 20,000 k. It look healthy but it stay the same size. Has anybody pass for the same experience? some help or ideas maybe usefull?

I wonder if it might be the spectrum of the bulbs. The coral will grow but much slower than it would under 10 or say 14 K bulbs. Also, how much water flow is the coral subject to. It doesn't need so much that it is blowing it down but good gentle current.

Dose Iodine...ours started growing like mad when we started dosing iodine.
