Colt Coral

Hey all,

I purchased my first softie yesterday; a nice healthy colt coral, about 2 or so inches tall. Yesterday all the polyps were open and looked great. This morning the polyps are open, however I noticed the branches(?) of the coral are in different positions then they were in yesterday. I am sure I am just being a little paranoid about the first coral and all :D But I just wanted to know if this was normal or not.
Any other feedback or experience with this coral is welcome as well :)

TIA,
Anth

Congrats on your first coral. It will take a little time for your to adjust to the tank. Nice pick for your first coral, they are hardy.

If you have any free easy and hardy frags, I am willing to adopt them =)

Thanks for all the help! Actually I just got home and noticed that since this morning my colt moved it's "branches" into the same place they were in yesterday! I guess at night the polyps close, and when the lights come on it slowly opens up towards the light - correct me if I am wrong.

Also, I was wondering if anyone knew how I would classify the colt coral (not by it's scientific name); but is a colt coral just called a "soft coral", or a "softie"?

TIA
