Come along, I'm starting a 24 gallon from scratch!

your joking right?
 Yes, he's joking. But it IS hard lugging water up and down stairs for changes when you are pregnant. She's just taking some time off from her tanks so she can spend more with her family (please correct me if I'm wrong, Amanda).

On that note...here are the baby SH pics, Amanda. They will be 2 weeks old tomorrow and still going strong--no losses in well over a week:

That is really cool and yes I'm kidding. Are you going to sell those? It would be cool if you could get them to people you know and then it would be like a family. I'd love to do a seahorse tank. Is it as much work as a reef tank?

Hi Everyone!

Kayla, I did not mention how awsome it is that you have all those baby seahorses.

My latest full tank picture!

I only have one Tang and that is my Dori, the other large fish is my Lamarck's Angel. I just feed them all some vegi flake and a frozen mix with krill.

How are your brains doing, the red & green one? I had to give up my green brain, it did not seem to like the intense light & my red lobo recovered only after I placed it in some heavy shading.

Looks fantastic RJ!!!

I am in the process of setting up a 65 gallon SH tank (36x18x24)... got a sump/fuge made and I am currently cycling some Kaileni LR that is just awesome and I will be getting some Tonga branch on weds. I will be adding several different types of macro and some sponges for color. I am getting my horses from DanU as Kayla did, I will not be recieving them till late Sept, possibly early Oct.

Kayla, how are your ponies doing?

Thanks Lori!

FastUno: The Red Brain can not seem to make up it's mind whether it wants to fully recover or not, but I am not giving up. The Green Brain and Brain Maze are doing just fine, you can see them in the bottom left side.

RJ I think you lucked out by getting only 39W, seems more than enough. I've had some unusual trouble with my 54W setup & had to be very careful. I did not have nearly as much trouble on my 26g w/ only 96W's. Brains & certain mushrooms were most affected.

Horses from DanU , and congrats on your new tank! Please keep us updated on its progress.

The horses are doing great. Their three week b-day was yesterday, and they have all grown so much--some of them even have the beginnings of cirri! So far, I am very optimistic that they will continue to do well. :)

TBS is now selling seahorses in case anyone is interested. I just saw a post in their forum.
Seahorses
Thanks for the heads up! However, their seahorses are wild caught, so I would not recommend getting them from TBS. JMHO though. :)

My thoughts exactly also Kayla! I have placed an order tonight at Ocean Rider... I have heard good and bad, hopefully I can be a success story. I wanted to take advantage of the special they are having:

First Time Buyers Special:1 mated pair of Mustangs, 300 live red shrimp for special treats or for 3 weeks of feeding! Hawaiian Ogo and Shrimpgro for feeding your shrimp and Vibrance for enriching the frozen mysis that you buy from your LFS. Fed Ex shipping included. Fathers Day Special allows you to get one free mustang with this purchase! Just $149!! Regular price $287.45! Save $138 !

This was just too good to pass up!

I emailed them a few days ago asking if I paid for the special if I could not have them shipped till my tank is ready, they said that was fine. So my estimated shipping date is July 7th.. just 2 days before my birthday!!! What a great gift this will be to myself :)

I am also on DanU's list and will be getting probably 3 horses from him, but that won't be till early fall.

I am so excited... I order macroalgae's the other day, have had my rock in the tank for a week now, and will be adding the sand later this week. I get my lights on weds, I got the Orbit (2) bulb 96 watt ea fixture w/ moonlights. So it is slowly coming together. Later this week I hope to be posting a pic of my tank, right now there isn't much to see except some lr in a tank.. not too exciting!!! :)

H2OLUVSME -- your tank is awsome!! what kind of lighting do you have on the 75gal???
thanks,,,lisa

thanks Lisa, i have dual 250w 20k halides, and four 110w VHOs. currently im running one 10k daylight, 1 actinic white and 2 actinics.

Kayla, How is your bigger tank doing, we could sure use a recent picture. I bet it has grown a lot, especially with the MH on there.

WOW, awesome find, Lori! OR used to have a bad reputation, but from what I've heard, they have since cleaned up their act. You are getting one sweet b-day present. :D

I'm not sure which species the OR "Mustangs" are, but I would be very wary of mixing species; H. erectus is thought to carry an unknown pathogen that often kills other species but does not affect its own.

Also keep in mind that with a mated pair, expect babies--and LOTS of them! Be prepared for a tank full of fry every 2-6 weeks, as they waste no time after each birth. That is one piece of advice I can give from experience.

Please post pics ASAP! I personally like the boring LR shots...but that's just me. :)

The tank is doing great, thanks. I haven't added much lately, as I've been saving my money--or spending it on the SH fry. I will get you pic as soon as I have more time though.

...Where have I heard that before? ;)
