comline DOC skimmer

Hi Roger,
I am using a 3130/2 skimmer on one of my tanks, and while it is a good skimmer, I would like to upgrade it to one of your more aggressive "flow through" comline skimmers. Which model would use the same pump as my 3130/2 (so I can use it as a spare)?
thanks, Mike

9010 and 9015 and 9020. 9010 and 9015 have different bodies, the 9015 can run with the venturi fully open and produces a thicker skimmate because their is more reaction area. 9020 is essentially 2 9015 running in unison.

Let me know if you need help, I have learned a couple of tricks to getting them running right, the manual was rushed and I didn't get to proofread it so it has several flaws.

Actually do you have any tips or tricks that might be handy? I'm running the 9005, and while performance has gotten to an acceptable point, I was hoping for more.

Some Tricks I learned.

1) NEVER, EVER use the aqua-stick epoxy in a tank with the 9005. I used maybe a 1/4 tube saturday to lock into place some SPS colonies, and it spewed microbubbles galore. It looked better this morning (5.5 days later) and I hope it'll be collecting skimmate again by the I get home tonight. I had to startup an old version comline to help out till things stabilize.

2) Clean out the collection cup everyday. It pulls maybe x2 as much if you clean it daily, than if you let it build up.

Most of what I have learned pertains to in sump use. It sounds like the skimmer is working normally, anything that affect surface tension (epoxy stick, slime coat, dechlorinator) will cause the micro bubble problem and reduce skimming.

These seem to break in fairly quick, the one I set up was skimming within a day. Hot water rinsing should reduce the break in though.
