Comline skimmer not working

I can't figure it out.
It has never seemed to skim right......then I cleaned it really good for installation on a new system.
It skimmed very well for a couple weeks....then nothing. Every once in a while it would make a "burp".
So I took it apart and cleaned it again.

The pump is working, and I can see some bubbles in the chamber......but the water level will not get high enough to enter the collection cup neck.
Water level BTW is just about the line on the side of the skimmer.....maybe an inch from the top of the skimmer.

I have tried with the air vavle closed....to wide open.
Am I missing something here??

Is it an older one? Maybe the silencer has a leak and it is choking the air intake with water? If the venturi is dirty or scratched this could have an impact as well.

I think it's a 3115?? Maybe 3 years old.

At around this time we changed from a loose slencer tube that was changeable to a permanently attached and sealed unit, if it is a long green tube that has hoses on each end and is not attached to the skimmer body it is replaceable and likely has a leak. If you like you can send it in for reapir and testing.

Pack it well, it is best if you remove the pump and send it seperated from the body. Please include a brief letter describing the problem and giving all your contact info.

You should be getting the skimmer today via Fed-Ex.
