Has anyone had issues with theirs starving themselves to death?

More than you know, most won't accept or are extremely difficult to get eating prepared foods and starve to death unless in very large systems with a lot of fish to pick from. I haven't tried one again in the last 10 yrs.

I agree with the above, but haven't had any problems with mine, although it did take a few days to except any prepared foods, and fed of the larger fish in tank as it adapted.

Ok mine was doing great than all of a sudden just stopped eating and sadly I lost him. Next time I will look for and African one.
they look the same. I got mine from Divers Den but knew that they survived almost always as opposed to other locations which did not. Here is an older thread about them.
