I had an emerald crab for about 10 days (he went back to the LFS because he had a taste for my beloved stomatellas) and he was definitely hosting my frogspawn. He'd leave to go forage, but if he wasn't foraging he was under my frogspawn during the day or on top of it at night.
On one of it's trips around it's part of my tank my LTA ended up under a little rock arch for a few weeks. During that time my emerald crab and my two percs would share it at the sme time.
