Compact sump skimmers?

I'm looking for a short, compact skimmer to jam into a very small cabinet. It's only about 17" tall, minus about 1/4 for the width of the button of the sump, and I figure you need at least a couple of inches to remove any collection cup.

Sadly, this means I don't even think I can get a DOC Skimmer 9005 in my cabinet.

I was thinking about the DOC Skimmer 9205, which I bet I could make work and actually works with my sump water level really well. Does anyone have experience with this skimmer?

I'm running a 55 gallon reef, with ambitions of an eventual high bioload (max fish, lots of sps).

I'm not sure about the 9005, but you probably need an inch maximum to get the cup out of a 9010 -- you could ask in the Tunze forum for exact specs, but it might be pretty close...

Yeah, if someone's using one with similar height restrictions I would go ahead and order one. But if I spend the cash and it doesn't fit I'll be bummed.

Could also go HOT like ATB multi skimmer, Bermuda Rogue, or Deltec MCE 300/600. The Tunze 9205 would get rid of micro bubbles. I hope it's good enough for a stocked 55 reef.
