I have a Flame Angel and was wondering if he will be OK with a Clam? Not sure what type of Clam, but have been looking at some pictures and doing some research on them and can't find anything about who might eat them. It will be in a 55 gallon tank with the Flame angel, 2 bangaii cardinalfish, 2 occ. clownfish, and a firefish. I might add an orchid dottyback, a diamond sleeper goby, and a Kole tang down the road but nothing is set in stone. I don't plan to get a Clam for a while just asking questions about them now. :hmm5::spin3:

so does that mean it will be hit or miss with my Flame Angel on nipping the clam? What would you recommend? What type of clam if I can keep one? My lighting is an Aquatic Life T5HO four lamp system.

My flame has never touched my Crocea, but that doesn't mean if I bought a different flame that that one wouldn't nip at it. It is going to be a risk, and it is up to you if you want to take it.

they are hit or miss but usually they will find the time to start nipping and once they do your tank will be overloaded and it will be impossible to get him out . i would suggest that you pass but do as you will and you should decide now if you will be getting corals or not . if your gonna get into corals then the flame must go before you do so . if your not going to get into corals then you can take a chance but he is a time bomb waiting to go off if you start putting anything that he "may " nip .
