Are you going to do a criss-cross surge or something? It seems like one dart would be enough for that tank... its only a 15"x15" cross section. One dart and an sinusoidal valve (like weathersons) would run your whole tank... just have it so the inlets and outlets change sides.

I think you should have (4) 2" inlets at 1 end and (4) 2" returns on the other end for your closed loop. That way, those lazy ocean fish can learn to swim upstream like salmon or trout. :D

Seriously though, I thought I read a few pages back that you were planning on using 2 darts for the closed loop and another pump for your sump return. Did you just buy a few extra because they were so cheap? It would be nice to have a backup in case one breaks...

LOL! Sorry guys, actually it's only a 1 Dart CL, 1 Dart for the mixing tanks, 1 Dart for a back up, 1 Dart is for my buddy who helped with the build and 1 Dart is TBD...

I read somewhere that they just came out with a "newer" model, so I'm guessing they were just trying to get rid of their old models. That's an awesome deal!

Yep, they have a new motor on the newer models, but I could care less... I never had an issue with the old model. :D Plus I have a back up if I need one. Besides if I do have an issue, they are local so any repairs won't cost me shipping either.

Yep the first person to give him $210 will get it!! ;) Just kidding. That would be funny if he turned into a pump scalper though.

Nah, not gonna scalp... :D

Hey MarineGirl! I remember you. :D Actually it is going to Marc, in exchange for one of his RO/DI units. There is another new one available in the used equipment thread if you need one. ;)

LOL! It's tempting... ;) I bought 4 today giving me a total of 5, but 1 goes to you, 1 to a buddy of mine, 1 is a back up, 1 is for the closed loop, the other is for my mixing tanks. :D

You remind me of a midnight sale at CompUSA that I went to years ago. I couldn't wait to get Windows 95 (I think), and was excited to get it. I ended up rushing in with everyone else, and they were grabbing all kinds of stuff, not just the upgrade. I found myself grabbing harddrives and more, and it took 3 credit cards to buy all the stuff that night.

My wife wasn't too happy, but I was. Frenzied shopping at 1am - priceless, sorta. ;)
