Wow! those must be some strong cables to lift the tank.

What about wiring the lights where the lights on one side are wired together. For example:

lamp wired together: 1's
lamp wired together: 2's
lamp wired together: 3's

___3___ ______1______ ______1______
___3___ ______1______ ______1______
---------------hinge line------------------------------
___3___ ______2______ ______2______
___3___ ______2______ ______2______

I think this is kinda how he has it planned for the light wiring,or like this
___1___ ____2____ ____3____
___1___ ____2____ ____3____
-----------------hinge----------------------
___1___ ____2____ ____3____
___1___ ____2____ ____3____

Well inspection went okay yesterday, couple items to change... I hope to have another inspection this week for final sign off on the basement.

Biggest issue was electrical wanted a wall receptacle installed in the tank stand... Their reasoning, is that it is a permenant stand (not mobile) so they have to consider it a wall and walls must have a receptacle within 6'. I already ran the wire, installed the box and hooked up the outlet, but have to just connect it to the existing wiring to make it hot.

Good to hear the inspection went well
When I rewired my house I put outlets every 4' ,
I hate extension cords,
I have 4 circuits in my kitchen and 3 in my living room javascript:smilie(':smokin:')

Aw man - I just went through 28 pages and no WATER!! lol kidding. Nice job man. Stairs look...no words. I honor u a DIY guru like I saw back in the thread. I can not wait to see that tank with water in it. I'd be scared crazy to leak and pressure test. Now lets see that tank with water in it....

speedo2wet,
if I had half his talent I,d be happy

Basement is done!!!! Everything is signed off!!!! I will be on vacation next week, traveling, and on vacation the following week to work on the tank. :D

Since he is able to get so much done while just working on the tank at night after work, and maybe a day over the weekend, I'm guessing with an entire week to work on the tank, it will be full of water by the middle of the week (I guess that would be around the 15th).

I hope so, I can't wait to see some fish in that beauty!

-Scott

P.S. - Congrats on the basement being done

It will still be a while for water to show up... I still have the sumps to build, canopy to build and about another $1,000 worth of stuff to buy with no funds. :(

Awesome stairs Hope the tank comes out as well.... JK
I am going out on limb here (And A Thick One At That) lets get the tank going enough about the stairs they look awesome however you have followers dying to see progress.

Yeah, I think we do need some updates since you are soooooo hard at work on the tank...what with vacation and no stairs to get in your way... :D
