Concerned About Tribal Blenny

I've had a tribal blenny for several days, suddenly today it is resting on a rock gasping with its "tribal" (excited/aggressive/I guess stressed) coloring going on more vividly than I've ever seen. It was QT'ed for 4 weeks prior to entering the tank. Acclimation was fine. Still eating normally, this gasping with the coloration is not constant, but it spent about 50% of its time doing this today. No signs of external parasites and everyone else seems fine.

Any ideas?

Water parameters are all within range. Ammonia and nitrites 0 nitrates 5 ppm, pH 8.5 dKH 11.5

Sorry I cannot help you, as I've never owned a Tribal Blenny and thus have no experience with them.

However, I would suggest you also post this in the "Reef Fishes" and/or "Reef Discussion" forum. Or maybe even the "Nano Reefs" forum. You will be more likely to encounter someone who has actual experience with this fish and their behavior there.
