Concerns about BTA and water parameters

Hi-
We have a BTA that has been in our tank for about 2 months and has been in the same spot, seemed very happy. We got a maroon clown a week ago and it hosted with the anemone in 3 days. Since then, the BTA has been shriveled up quite a bit and keeps leaving the spot he was in. I continue to put him back hoping he will stay. The clown will not leave him alone. Over the weekend we got several small pieces of cured rock and added to the tank. Our parameters have shot up slightly. Could this be causing the BTA problems? What is the best solution? Thanks
Parameters:
PH 8.2, Nitrite 0.25, Nitrate 10, Ammonia 0.25

first of all stop moving the anemone, they will always go to a location they feel adequate for there needs "light and flow". The flow more or less to bring food towards them. Continually moving it is stressing the animal. Mine will shrivel/ deflate from time to time because of a retreat or possibly a split looming. I have also noted deflate when the animal is passing waste. They eat and poop from the same place. If you beleave the animal is deceased "sliming over" remove and alot of 1/4 water changes as possible.

that happened to mine because as soon as maroon want to host my gbta it was all over anenome and seemed like it was stressing it out bad. It took about a month for it to get used to clown fish. If it blows around to much adjust powerhead to were it is not affecting it alot until it finds a spot to reattach.

The anemone may not be happy with the clown hosting in it. If clowns host in a small anemone, it can kill the anemone.

I've had this happen. Is the clown "tasting" the anemone? Clowns will often pester the hell out of new anemones to build up an immunity to their sting

I've seen the clown pull on his tentacles, but it was when it was deflated. Almost like he was trying to get him to inflate again. Is there something I should do to keep the clown away from the BTA or just let them hopefully get used to each other.

My maroon clown did the same thing to a RBTA and almost killed it

Do a search in the Clownfish and Anemone Forum you'll find a bunch of threads on this but I would suggest placing the anemone in a clear plastic container with a bunch holes drilled into it. If you have a frag tank or another setup that would be even better. Give the anemone a chance to recover. If the clown continues to stress it, it will die.
