I asked for something at my LFS to help turn my sand bed, she said a conch would be great at it. Now its the next day and I decided to see exactly what it was that I purchased. Can someone please tell me that this is not a meat eater?

No, it's an algae eater, Strombus (Conomurex) luhuanus. It's usually called a Strawberry Conch or Blood-mouthed Conch.
