Condi anemone retracted

I recently received a condi anemone from a freind. I had to free him from a large rock that was too big. I cracked the rock on the far side and he released from the rock. I didnt hit him and his foot looked fine. I placed him it the tank after 2 hrs of dripping water into his bucket. He looked good and he sat in the spot I put him in all night. Today I watched as he pulled himself into the hole completly. Every now and then he will pop out a little. there is nothing messing with him. Is it normal for them to retract? Also the hole looks bigger today then yesterday. Are they able to inlarge a hole with there foot?
Any ideas would be great.

It may take it a wek or longer to acclimate to his new home. They have to get accustomed to water conditions, lights, flow, etc..

He will be fine. Condy's tend to move around a little more than some other nems, but once he finds a good spot, he should be fine.

Thanks Today he popped out almost to full size. Suprised me. But can he enlarge the hole he is in with his foot. The hole is bigger the what I drilled and now it goes right thru the rock. Now it may have broken off(the rock), but it looks a lot bigger then before.

I've never seen mine increase the size of the hole in the rock, but when he was smaller he would certainly "curl up in a little ball" to go to sleep at night. I came down many a morning for the first couple weeks and went in to panic mode looking for him, only to catch a glimpse of the end of a tenticle sticking up from the hole.

Feed him a silverside - you'll see him plump up fast.
