I would worry about the condy eating your latz. I have heard of condy anemones eating the clownfish that choose this anemone as a host. Then I have also heard of clownfish living in these anemones for years and never having any problems. Latz clowns are very expensive clowns. Thats not a risk I'd be willing to take.
I got the Condi from a friend of mine who collects locally, its a nice purple one fresh from his warehouse, but im hesitant because of the whole "they can eat clownfish at times" thing D; and ill just die if it eats my latz!!!
Then you just answered your own question. I am a bit more cynical when it comes to expectations of nems with fish. I assume that my fish could be eaten with some nems, and a condi is one of them. Many have kept them fine with their clowns, but too many have had them eat a prized clownfish for me to trust them.
For example: I currently have a green-stripped haddoni. The person I got it from told me he had assumed it was a fish eater since 3 B&W ocellaris went missing. It is the stickiest thing iIve ever seen. For this reason, I have a few "garbage" percs (poor quality fish, taken out of "inventory" by a local breeder, but he couldn't bring himself to cull a healthy fish). They were very very very cheap, and I won't feel bad if one gets eaten. I'd never put a prized clownfish in this tank as it is potential nem food.
I'm with the other posters. Go with a BTA or a bunch of them if you want to be on the cheap. If you go through one of the more reputable sites you can get 8-10 for around $200 and not have to pay shipping.
I say several is the better option because one is seldom large enough to host a pair of latz. On the other hand you could get a show sized H. crispa for probably about the same price.
