Condy and maroon?

I have been barely trying to get my maroon to host my condy nem. I put the piece of rock were my clown sleeps at night (which is in an open corner) but it didn't work what could I do the clown goes in the nem but only to swim through

I could be wrong, but IIRC condy nems are not a hosting species of anemones.

That is true...Condys come from the Atlantic...there are no anemonefish in the Atlantic. They will host commensalism shrimp and crabs

I know but I've seen them host alot my dads user to host in his 90 and at my lfs they have one hosting

I think there are those less frequent times when a clown will host an anemone but it's more unusual for that to happen. Odds are that they won't

oops...when clowns will host a condy anemone I meant to say...otherwise that whole post makes no sense :worried: It was a long day at work...

I just read on another thread that Condi's eat clowns. One person stated that several of her clowns were eaten. The Condi promptly found a new home.

Also, Condi's can grow to 12 inches and will also attack other nems that get too close.

I bought one at the LFS on Friday after I was misinformed. It goes back to the LFS on Monday.
