Condy does not like bright light?

I picked up a little Condy a couple of weeks ago. My tank has 3 96W PC lights with Mirro 4 reflectors and is 12 W 24D 36L. The anemone hates the light. It always goes to the bottom in the shade. The base is orange, mouth is blue, tentacles are very translutant white and the tips are white. It eats just fine and is sticky but stays in the shade. Is this weird? I thought they wanted to be up in the light.

I would say give it some time. That doesn't sound like too much light, particularly in a 24" deep tank. It does sound like the anemone is bleached, so it may just need some time to adjust. Just feed it and let it be. Eventually, it will move to a spot where it is comfortable, and its tentacles should turn from translucent to a light tan color.

These are found in shallow water here. That is not too much light, unless it was kept for a long time b/f sale.
