I'd advise against posting about how unimportant the lives of these creatures are in this forum. Most of us are very concerned about the lives of the animals we have chosen to take care of. Every anemone we kill in our hobby is one more that is no longer in the ocean. These creatures live an extremely long time in nature, many say 100 years or longer.

I agree. It would be heartbreaking to see one die. They don't exactly reproduce like fish. Coral reefs are thousands of years in the making.

Tava176, fish are not any less important than anemones, no matter how often or how many they reproduce, or how much they cost. They all want to live, and they should be given the best chance at life.

On the other hand, I agree, your anemone looks fine.

You are right..and I agree... I did not mean to make it sound like fish are "less important" than corals or anemones. I am a total conservationist/preservationist with my tank.

I always try to purchase frags/corals/fish from a local reefer rather than from a LFS. This way I am not taking yet another speciment out of the natural habitat.
