condy light question

I have two nems in my 55. One a condy and the other a malu. The condy keeps floating down and getting right next to my malu and has stung it once already :furious: How long will it last under regular pc lighting? Days, weeks, I'm thinking about taking him back to the LFS, and could probably tomorrow night, but am tired of the two getting so close.

edit, the pc light is a 8,000k t8, I can also plug in a fuge light that is 6500k for help

It'll be fine I'd think. You may be better off trying to kill it - then it'll never die.

Kidding of course; you should be fine though.

I'd say take it back or get some more lights. I've seen them all over the Keys, but they're always in very shallow very bright water, and most of them I see in LFS's are bleached. This leads me to believe they are bleaching due to a lack of light. They are hardy anemones under the right conditions, but if yours is "floating", something is obviously wrong. Maybe it's chemical warfare with the malu????? What ever the problem is, I'd suggest moving the anemone to a more anemone friendly environment. Once you have your system better equipped to support anemones, then get back into them. Just MHO.
