I have been reading too much and have myself as to a good selection for growing coral. I have a bunch of zoas that I want to try to propagate and I have read that they grow fastest in 65000k to 10000k light but that they color up best in 14000k to actinic lights. So my thought is to have 1/2 of the tank be set up with 65000k or 10oook HO t%s and the other actinic and just grow them out fast on the one side and color them up on the other.
This sounds a bit too simplistic and that the faded color will not return in a reasonable amount of time. I would also probebly be growing some mushrooms and ricordia and some day maybe get rid of the softies and try some SPS. Does this method really work or is it just one of the theoretical things that "should" work.
Any other suggestions? Mixing the two?
Thanks
