I will respond to this from a different perspective -- me being someone who bought an entire system. I really wanted a tank but didnt know much. Someone had a beautiful 200G tank but the moving costs and logistics would have been cost-prohibitive.
Instead I went with a small tank and I confess the coral colony (30+ bud branching hammer) in it alone probably worth over 50% of the value I had paid. I thought I got a good deal! As time went on, I became dissatisfied with everything -- the equipment was chingy-lingy, hacky-hack, and DIY garbage I thought was disaster waiting to happen.
Other than the tank itself, rocks, and livestock I replaced the majority of all the equipment with mostly automated stuff. I had to learn A LOT and invested A LOT of time. I dread the day I would try to sell it. I already made up mind that I would rather literally give it away to a good friend than try to sell it for a fraction.
My advice would be to pass it onto a family member (like a special nephew), friend or someone near and dear to you that has an interest in the hobby. It would be awesome Christmas present they might remember and enjoy for decades!
