contactless sensor

i have had this for over a few weeks and it fails every day to every 2 days


i have wiped ther inside of the sensor on the inside of the sump and it works


i inspected where the sensor is and nothingis in the way of it and can see it clearly through


any ideas


i asked on the support forum and was told i need the optical

Hi

The contactless level sensors should only be used on low iron glass, the iron composite will deflect the signal waves. It is not faulty just not right for your system.

This has been covered a few times on the support forum.

Providing the sensor is in as new condition you can talk to your vendor about exchanging it.

You would think they could mention that small fact on their web page...
Especially for the prices we pay for this stuff the descriptions are horrible and even misleading.
