contractions

I cant imagine how she must feel! I hope she has had a speedy recovery. Also, hope the move is not too hard on her and the baby. Tell her to take it easy
She was a trooper for sure. She was tired, but I never would have known that she did what she did after seeing her the day after. She's 6 weeks out and back to normal now. She was definitely sore for a few days, but not as bad as I would have imagined. I know I would have needed serious sedation!
I don't think the move will be too bad. The Air Force will be paying for a moving company to do most of the work. I'll do a partial DITY move, but only the essentials and the rest of the heavy, square, easy to stack stuff.

Been off for awhile and just saw the news. Congrats Lauren! I'm glad everything went well and hope he is out of NICU quickly.

2 of the 3 cultures came back today negative. Just waiting on one more. Aidan is doing awesome. His blisters have healed and he is eating like a pig. Almost back at his birth weight. (babies lose about 10% of their body weight after being born and then should gain it back by 7-10 days old). Tomorrow is his one week birthday.

Aidan is home now! All tests came back negative (trying not to think about how he just spent the first week of his life in the NICU as a precaution) They said the blisters must have just been new born rash in his mouth. go figure

That week will be long forgotten shortly. You'll be too busy with the crying, feeding and you can't forget the pooping. Luckily I get a kick out of the pooping, so it makes it better :)

Congrats again!

lmfao! my little man likes to go stand in the corner and grunt.

don't forget about the smiling and laughing! Nonething makes my day like walking in the door and little man is their to greet me with a grin and giggle. (sometimes a grin, giggle, and a poop)

and how is 'mommy' doing now? recovery going well?

Im holding up. Severe sleep deprivation. More than most mommy's because of the stint in NICU and now he has no concept of night and day so he wants to suckle all night and sleep all day! My poor fish tank is severely neglected (heck, all my animals are feeling neglected) Hope they manage

Glad he is home and well Lauren. The times ahead of you will make all the lack of sleep worth it. I as a mommy know. Enjoy him while he is little because time WILL fly by. My two daughters are teenagers now and it seems like yesterday they were learning how to walk.

I totally agree with that! My oldest my only be five right now, but when I hold my 1 year old I want to savor every minute. I remember what it was like when each of them were that small and I miss it already. I can't imagine what it will be like when they get even older.

Glad the little guy is doing so well. My oldest little guy spent his first week in the NICU, too, and he just turned 9 years old. It's rough being in the NICU but it makes you appreciate having them home all the more. Plus, when they're older, they get a kick out of telling people the story of their first hospital stay. Enjoy this newborn phase!

Here are some pictures of the new man in my life!
