Controller Settings

Hi guys I've got a 3x 6105. What's the best setting to have these baby's set on for the strongest and best flow? And I have also upgrade the jumper to 24v from 18v and when I put the food timer on it loose it's settingsšŸ˜³. What could be causing this?

How big is the tank? Are all 3 6105's connected when you have this foodtimer issue? This would mean the power to the controller is interrupted, it could be a bad jumper (usually poor contact from bent pins), bad controller cable or bad power supply.

the tank is 60inch in length and 30inch depth 28inch high. I've had the power pack change its brand new because i had a issue before with it losing the settings now I've had it change its fine but only looses the settings when i use the food timer and plus I've change the jumpers?

But this is occurring with only one pump connected or with all 3? I ask because if it is one pump, then the controller has only this source of power, with 3 pumps, if this happens it must be the controller as all 3 pumps can provide power so unless all three power supplies blink off, it should not lose its settings.

Yes with all three pumps sir. With regards to the controller setting what setting would you recommend and how long intervals and I keep mainly sps corals?

But it all works at 18V?

I would use Interval 2 and a 3 second pulse and 6 hour interval. In this setting with 3 pumps, 2 will be on and pulse and one will be on at 30% and this will switch after 6 hours so 2 pumps are at 30% and one pulses.

With regards to the controller the place where I bought it from has offered me to take it back. And get a new one. They gave me a option of getting a replacement 7095 or 7096 which one would you go for?

I would go with the 7096, I wasn't ignoring your last post, just waiting for an answer from the factory on what could be the cause. I would lean toward it being the controller, but I don't see a logical reason for this.

hi roger im picking up my 7096 controller 2moro as the 7096 has got more settings than the 7095. how would you have this setup? thanks with the 3x 6105 24v

I got an answer as well, sorry for the late reply, but Mr. Tunze is reasonably sure the controller is the culprit. For settings, do you use Mac or PC? I ask because the PC software was update in August and the Mac version has fewer features until it is updated as well which should happen this month.

whats new then? and o yeah I'm still having the same problem with the controller losing its settings even though i have change the controller now from a 7095 to a 7096. so i have change the power supply as well so it must be the pumps. strange

I would think it is the power supplies, we are still looking into this, 3 power supplies doing this is a mystery, we randomly see one that doesnt work with 24V. I might try running one pump and adding another and see if we can't narrow it down to one power supply.

On mac the update is coming which adds more modes, but for now I would use Pulse mode and set 2 speeds and a 3 second pulse. If you don't want all pumps running at once you can use Interval and 2 pumps will run then only one or sequential where they will come on in series.
