Controlling Vermetid Snails

So I've read mixed reviews on Vermetid snails and I've decided that I want to limit my infestation. I literally have hundreds if not thousands. None are longer than 1/2" and are about the thickness of pencil lead. Any suggestions other than just going in with tweezers and smashing the buggers? I know super glue is an option, but many are in places that are in-accessible. Any know predators? I think their discharge also is causing alot of my corals to be irritated and closed up. I have them all throughout the tank and am contemplating of starting over fresh. They are on my snails, clam, and even in the back overflow chambers. My sunset monti even encrusted over a few and made for some unique growth patterns. Thoughts?

I had an emerald (Mithrax) crab the used to pick them off the rock and chew them up. I may have to pick up another as I'm starting to get them bad too.

REALLY!? Oh man, Emerald Crabs are sweet and if they eat vermetids, they're doubly sweet.

Yea, I actually had two that did it. They pretty much obliterated them in about a month.

So, remember everyone -

For every biological problem, there is a biological solution.

Whoa thread from the dead. I have two emerald crabs, and I haven't seen them eat any vermetids, but that could also be due to the fact that I stopped caring about vermetids.

You know why I responded to this thread? It showed up in my email as having a response so I assumed it was recent & I had responded to it at some point (plus there was a thread on this the other day that I DID respond to). I'm not subscribed to it, and apparently I didn't post in it originally since I don't see a post from me earlier, so I have no idea why it showed up in my mailbox! *insert Twilight Zone music here*
