Converting 110V Tunze Skimmer to 240V

Can you convert the Tunze 110V 9020 Skimmer to 240V by changing a simple part or is it much more complex than that.

can you buy a step up and step down transformer for like 30 at electronic store. I think this is easier than taking the pump apart.

I did this for my eheim 230v to 110v.

The pumps that come with the DOC series of skimmers are plug and play not low voltage so no parts to change they are a fixed mains power supply.

The problem is not the voltage. Stepping up and down is easy as suggested above. The problem is Europe uses a 50hz main and North America uses 60hz. The difference may or may not work on the pump.

As Bryan said, Hz is the main issue and while you could buy a step up transformer and a 50Hz impeller it is probably more hassle than it is worth and the pump will not work as well as a pump made for 240V 50Hz.
