converting a 6000 to a 6100?

Hi, i friend of mine is willing to sell me is his tunze stream 6000, it comes with the single controller. But i was considering making it into a 6100 if i got it. But here were the questions i had first.

About a month or two ago, i was told all you would need is a transformer to do this. But what exactly is a transformer? Is it part of the motor? The actual motor? How easy would it be to switch? This is the one im looking at, im hoping its the right one.

My second question is, do the 6000's and 6100's use the same controller? So would the 6000 controller work fine on it?

Transforner is a separate unit , which is used for transforming voltage from 110 V AC to lower AC voltage used by driver and pump.

It is very easy to switch to new transformer. You only need to plug new transformer to driver (2 seconds of easy work).

That transformer, which you found on premiumaquatics.com, it is the right one. Please check only, if it is the right model for USA, because the code specified is the same as for Europe. I can not imagine that premiumaquatics.com sell Europe type, so this model is probably the right one for you.

6000's and 6100's use the same controllers. Both TUNZE models Multicontroller and Singlecontroller work with both types of pumps 6000 and
6100.

So if i were to put on the 6100 transformer, my pump would then be able to pump 3175gph like the 6100 does? Sorry im still alittle confused about that.

Once you put on the 6100 transformer, your pump will be a 6100.

YES you will have 6100.

Tunze models 6000 and 6100 consist of 3 parts :
- Pump (motor)
- driver (blue box) and
- Transformer.

Motor and driver are the exactly tha same for 6000 and 6100
