Converting old skimmer into a Stream

I've got an old 240/3 skimmer sitting around. I noticed that it uses the same driver box and transformer (7240.26 and 7410.602) as my 6100 Stream. Can I simply pop a Stream propellor into the existing motorblock (240.04) and add a Stream cover to "Streamitize" it??? And would it work with a Multicontroller?

I would love to answer your question but this is wayyyy over my head (I'm short btw). But i do have 1 question tho, how do you plan to mount the pump into your tank? I don't think the motor block has the slot for you to slide the swivel arm in to hang the pump...

It may work, the 7240.26 underwent many changes and the first units from 2000-2002 were hand calibrated for the alarm set points. If the pump was made after 2002 it should work just fine, otherwise you may have issues with alarming for no reason.

You would need-
6080.13
6100.70
6200.255

Good luck and let us know if it works well for you. It would help those who has the same pump that looking into doing the same thing

I finally got around to trying this when I was cleaning my 6100 so I used that pump's impeller and cover, and guess what? - It works! My multicontroller runs the skimmer pump just fine with no noise or any alarms.

Thanks again.
