Converting wet/dry to fuge

I've removed the bio-balls so far. But there is still a prefilter and a secondary floss type filter and a sponge block. Should I remove these? I have chaeto in the bottom.

yea i would remove that......but you also are going to need to glue in some sorta wall to raise the water level that is kept in that section.

I pulled out all that stuff from my proclear and just ran it as a refugium with a clip on light. Keeping the water level up and blocking the pump intake area with LR kept the cheato out of the pump. I used a filterbag in the output line to catch the crap.
