Cooking rocks in the winter time

I've been amazed at what aiptaisia and mojano anemone's can live through. I personally trust nothing less than the acid bath. I would not have believed it, but I've had them come back after vinegar and bleach baths. Seems like if there's one viable cell remaining, they'll be back! Perhaps I wasn't using clinical ratios, but I can tell you I've absolutely DOUCHED some rocks and seen them come back. Use the muriatic acid IMO.

I had three aptaisia on a rock. I took a big syringe (you could probably use a baster) and shot each one with boiling water. They melted away and never came back. The key was a strong light to see where the base was. Once you take the rock out of the water it's hard to find the root otherwise.
