A couple of weeks ago, I bought a pocillopra from SCFR. It'sa about 3 inches or so across. Since about the same time, i have been so busy with family obligations, I feed the tank but don;t really watch. So tonight, I had a chance to watch for a change. I fed the tank and was shocked to see the pocillapora had a hitchhiker - a small fish! It is about 3/4 inch long and has a yellow head with purple body. It stay inside the coral and does not leave. A bought a pavona at the same time and it has its own crab (looks like an emerald, fuzzy legs and all) but has darker claws. The crab stays with his coral all the time, too:)

Yeah I had one of those cool fuzzy crabs once. He ate some of the acro he was living in which stimulated some nice growth. I didn't decide to get rid of him until he ventured out and nibbled on some of my fancier acros. :(

Looks like a gorilla to me, so I'll redidtribute him to another locale tomorrow:)

I'll do my best to geta fish pic, but he is usually deep inside the coral.

THx fir htw arnings - it was a gorilla crab..............

The fish is more visible at night, so I will try top get a look at him. He definitely looks to be in the goby family.

Looking it up, there are fishes called coral gobies and I am sure it is one, butI can;t find any with the color pattern of mine - yellow head and purple body.

i found a porcelin crab in the coral, too:) Two commensurals - pretty cool:)
