Cool Pic - My Rabbit Fish lives inside of my Toadstool

When I had my devil's hand leather all 4 of my chromis' would sit in the center of the hand. Since it died they have all moved to my hammer coral. Funny how fish other than clowns try to host something.

That's pretty interesting. I wouldn't have expected a fish that grows pretty large and is protected by poisonous spines to seek the protection of a coral.

Yeah really cool... He absolutely loves that thing. I can certainly tell that he feels much more secure in it and he certainly doesn't have to burn as much energy swimming.

The best part of this is that for a few minutes, I was worried he was a goner. Then I realized that he actually chooses to be in there and he was fine. Sometimes, he goes so deep that you can't see him without walking up to the tank and looking inside the toadstool.

I have an Orange Spot Rabbit that does the same thing. He lays in a patch of green star polyps on the sandbed. And same as you, the first time that I saw him doing this, I thought that he was dying. But it's all good in the hood.

BAD UPDATE - He's a goner!

Yeah, I was really upset to find him not yellow anymore, eyeless and with no tail, under a bunch of hermits when I got home from work. That's the first time I've ever lost a fish within a few days of getting him, where I wasn't responsible for stressing him.
