Cooling Fans

Does anyone know how to wire computer fans together then run them off a recepticle? I have many fans laying around that I can hook up to batteries but I dont want to keep replacing batteries. Any help would be appreciated.

find out what the voltage needed is, go to radio shack, buy the plug and wire it up. check out the ones you have laying around the house you may have one.

Find a 12v DC transformer somewhere ... make sure it can supply enough current to run the fans (check milliamp ratings on the fans and the transformer) ... then, wire it up. I run computer fans for cooling lights from a 12v "wallwart" type transformer and it works perfectly.

Good thing about DC is that you can't really screw anything up. There are only 2 wires, and they can be hooked in either direction... so, if your fan spins the wrong way, just reverse the wires or turn the fan around ;)
