Copepod infestation? Tank is 10 days old

So my tank is just 10 days old, and I noticed the entire glass is covered in tiny white specks. I looked closer and they are 99% for sure copepods. Also around them is what appears to be some sort of hair algae starting to grow. Diatom bloom that was covering the sand seems to be going away now too. Is this bad/abnormal? My setup is live rock from my LFS, live sand. If anything will they survive the cycle? Any thing helps!

Nothing wrong with having that many copepods. That's good. Can't help with the algae; no personal experience myself.

The pods will self regulate and once some fish are added they will also munch on them.

From your description I would speculate standard green hair algae. Fairly normal in a new tank. There are literally thousands of threads on getting rid of it but, it should settle down once the tank has a bit of maturity to it. good luck just my 2 cents.

The pods have prob at this point have no predators .
I would assume the algae started growing on the glass at first then the pods found a nice feeding ground.
if i go 3 days and not clean my glass they will start to accumulate on the glass by the millions it appears...

its a good sign.. im assuming you added a culture or got rock from a very mature tank..
