Copod and microstar shortage.

Was wondering if anyone is overrun with copods or microstars.

My display has 0 copod in it and the refugium is pretty slim too and is in the sump so they don't seem to make it to the tank very well.

Where do you guys buy or get your copods from?

Thanks,
Kevin

acer i have been wanting to try something like that. i'm in if you guys want to try it. we can meet at elmers for the exchange.

What size order? I wouldn't mind going for a 90 or 150 dollar order if we're splitting.

Loui, Ted and I live near each other . What area are you from?

Kevin, I could probably put some floss or a filter pad to get you micro brittle stars. My tank has a ton. I am always rescueing them out of my media bags. Let me know.

All 16 oz products it says, So if we do a 16 OZ combo pack then get one free. Each are $40, we need to order $80 to get free shipping. So , if we order 2 combo packs at $40 each, then get 2 free ( get 4 combo packs) , for a total of $80 ( free shipping), then split it up?? Sounds like we have 3 people ( Acer, Drone, and Loui) - that would be hard to split up evenly. Need a fourth person to make this easy. If we get a fourth then it would be $20 each and each get a combo pack that normally sells for $40 plus shipping.

Edit- well it would NOT let me even do that on the website. So it must be for one Bogo only. Reduces the first 16 OZ combo pack to $20, allows me to get 2 at that price. Totaling $40 - and shipping is $15 for 2 day air.

So???

Do you know if they would do the bogo if you wanted to buy 2 for a total of 4 16 Oz bottles? Or is a one item deal?

If they do that would be $65 for 12,000 pods

Do you need greenwater? I don't think the combo pack is the best move unless you're thinking about culturing phytoplankton.

The pods should be able to survive and multiply in our refugiums but the phytoplankton part doesn't last long in our tanks.

I would be more interested in the pod startup cultures for $25 per 16 oz. If we could get 4 for $50 plus $15 for shipping. I would take two portions for $33 if 1 portion each for $16 is good for you and loui.

I am OK with just getting pods as well I was trying to get the best deal , but again - I don't think I can get more than 2 on any given item for the BOGO coupon - as they just decrease the price by 50% on the first 2. So in order to get 4 we would have to pay full price on the next 2. So for just pods= first 2 (16 oz bottles) for 12.50 each, then 2 more at $25 each = $75 plus $15 shipping = $90.

or we could do 3 pods only ( $16. 66 each) and 2 combo's ( $20 each) for $89.98 and since we are over the $80 mark the shipping is free. So we end up with 5 portions of 16 oz pods, and 2 portions of the phyto - nutrient product. A bit of a nightmare to figure out costs and portions to each person ( even if it is 2 or 3 people).

I could definitely use two containers of pods so I could even buy 3 portions of pods for 50 or 60 and if one combo each was enough for you guys you would each spend 15 or 20 for the combo.

Or I'll take two if one of you guys need two.... or whatever. Is Loui still in?

OK - so if we went with option 2 = 3 pods only and 2 combos for about $90.

Drone= 3 x 16 oz. pods only = $50 or 2 pods only for $34
Loui = one combo = $20
Acer = one combo= $20 and possibly and addition pod only $16.66

Drone - let me know if you want to have 2 or 3 pod portions - doesn't matter to me.

Pick up at my place in Gibsonia ( Loui - I may be able to meet you at Elmer's- depends on which day,etc. )

Is that agreeable for all?

looks good to me I am a little confused with 20.00 being my total, figured it would be 40.00. Just making sure.

I live about 5 minutes from elmers, so when ever you are in the area should work. let me know if that will work, maybe we can meet somewhere else. no big deal if it sits at your place for a little while.

Fine by me. As for 2 or 3 I don't need 3 but would gladly take them so whichever option works best for you is good for me.

I drive through Gibsonia every day around 6 so I can stop on my way home.

Kevin
