In general would you say a CBB will pick on all types of anemones or will they pick mainly on small pest anemones?

butterfly fish species are considered one of the main predators of e. quadricolor in the wild.
i would not take the risk of putting any butterfly fish in an anemone tank.

The majano anemone (Anemonia sp.)
is also a pest. This little green anemone
closely resembles a miniature bubble
tipped anemone, but reproduces quickly
and burns other life forms as Aiptasia does.
Centropyge, Apolemichthys, and Pomacanthus
angelfish all consume this anemone, but are
also fond of many corals, so they must be
watched carefully.

My copperband has never touched my RBTAs and I have had them together for a long time. I have never heart of a copperband eating an RBTA.

this may very well be... but butterfly fish have been shown to be voracious BTA eaters and others may not be so lucky as you have been...

Ive been watching this thread. i want a copperband really bad, and have 2 bubbletips. I MIGHT try it. I just dont like going thru 6 weeks of qt, becomeing fond of a fish, and then have to catch it in a reef if somthing go's bad 
mojanos: I picked the two i had off with needle nose pliers. it was really easy, theyre foot is very bta like, so just grab it from there.

Isn't that how it always works?? I just found that info, I did not write it, and I cannotback it up with experience. I have no clue myself as I keep no butterflys or angels in my tanks...I love my corals too much to risk it. Besides, my majanos don't mess with my stuff, so I don't have a problem as of yet.
Tourkid, I am not so sure I would do a CBB in my next tank. He has eaten the feelers and snouts off of every turbo and nassarius I have, and constantly pecks at them while they are active.
Beautiful fish, always sticking his nose into every crevace in the LR, but just plain mean to the snails.

my copperbanded butterfly never bothered my rbta or any of it's often times much smaller clones .
i'm currently growing a new small 2.5" sebae anemone which is happily living with it's colum burried in the sand . it's ignored by the copperbanded bf which is about the size of the palm of my hand and has been in my aquarium for several years .
the cb does probe everywhere , completely rid my tank of aiptasia , picked the xmass worms off the porities but has never touched a lps , sps coral or t. clam .
i have heard stories from the lfs staff of cb's picking on lps and t. clam's and also read that some may nip at lps . my copperbanded bf staple diet is frozen and freeze dried brine shrimp . they are not the species of butterfly that are known to eat clownfish hosting anemones .
