copper problem?

recently, my astrea snails have been dying. I started to find them flipped over on sand bed. Flipped them back over only to find them on there back again 2 days later in different place and eventualy die. If it was from copper wouldn't my pods, mini brittle stars, collenista and vermatid snails and sponges also die? but they seem unaffected. Zoanthids have also not looked good since this started happening. tank is 9 months old, nitrates, nitrites and ammonia all test 0, ph 8.2, alk 9 dkh and salinity is 1.025. Thought i might have introduced copper when I accidently emptied a couple cups of water from bag when adding a new fish 3 months ago. I know the store keeps fish in 0.05-0.1 ppm copper. Was hoping it would be so diluted in 75 gal. tank that it wouldn't bother anything plus things seemed fine for 3 months after. Any advice as to whats happening to astrea snails?
