Copper Question

This is my first time treating ich with copper. I was wondering how long it takes for the copper to show visual results on the infected fish. I added copper at about noon today and hes looking the same, maybe a little worse.

copper only affects the free swimming stages of ick so the ick has to drop off the fish, for the copper to do its thing
