Copper treatment and quarantine

Hi all
So I've had fish in qt tank (clown and blenny) for 2 months or so now.
Will be in there for another month following a display tank disaster.
Never identified what the problem was as no clear markers but erratic behaviour and sudden death lead us to believe a parasite
Treated with medic full course
A copper treatment was also advised
I've never done one before

So any product recommendations and what's a good easy to read test kit?

How long after treatment for them to go into main tank

Also what would be typical timescales for usual QT process for any new introductions?

Thanks in advance

I use copper power. I prefer copper power or copper safe over cupramine. Hanna checker for copper is a must if you want accurate reading IMO. Run copper at therapeutic levels (work up slowly), for 30 days. Therapeutic is 1.5 ppm but might want to get to 2.0 for a particular strain of copper resistant velvet. After that you can remove copper and deworm with prazipro (about two more weeks). This is what I do and it is essential what humblefish does. Google his quarantine guide if you want to learn, it is very useful information.
