Copperband and Yellow Tang?

I've already got a yellow tang in my 90, and I've always wanted a copperband. To add to this, I have aptasia starting to run the place. I've heard mixed reviews about the prospects of adding a copperband in this situation. My yellow tang is definitely the king of the tank, but he's also never been aggressive to anyone in the year and a half that i've had him. Any thoughts?

I think it would be fine but copperbands have a reputation for not being very hardy. I have had good experiences with them but I would make sure I saw the copperband eat readily at the LFS before buying it. You can also re-aquascape when you add the copperband to decrease aggression.

Read the Copperband, they're a gamble of a fish. I added one to a tank with an established Lavender Tang (120g). The Lavender bullied him for a few days, until I hung a mirror, and the tang went after the mirror. Now, the tang and the CB are inseparable. Mine eats my aiptasia; they're all over my sump and over flows, but he keeps the tank completely spotless :) Make sure you have black worms on hand, they are a tricky fish to get started eating, mine took a couple weeks. Also, use Prazipro to deworm, mine had gnarly internal parasites.

I had the exact same situation, but my Yellow Tang was in my tank for around 3 years. Definitely only get a Copperband that eats at the LFS. I printed a photo of a copperband and tapped it to the tank to see if the Tang would react to it and he didn't. After I added the Copperband, he didn't bother it at all. I did put the Copperband in my QT first to make sure he was eatting really good first. I had to hand feed him every night so he got enough food. I used live blackworms. He was the only Copperband that ate at the LFS out of 8. So, be patient. My first two only lived 6 months, but I wasn't feeding the blackworms. I had this guy for around a year before I sold him, he was picking on my clam. Actually, both him and the Yellow Tang went. Both were picking on the clam. HTH

I would only buy one eating frozen at the LFS. Are these live or frozen blackworms?
