Copperband Butterfly

I have had this fish for about a week and have not seen it eat any of the prepared foods I feed. I have used frozen brine, a homemade frozen mixture, and flakes. Has anyone had experience that would help me get this fish to eat prepared foods? It picks at the rocks for most of every day. I have not seen it eat at any corals or clams. Thanks for your help.

was he eating at the store? all fish ecspecially copperbands you should make sure hes eating at the store. Mine loves all frozen foods. Just keep trying

I don't know what other fish you have in the tank, but here is what I did:

1) Get some mussells from the local store (clams will probably work as well.

2) break open the mussle a little bit, and strap it to a nori feeding clip

3) place in the tank near where the copperband frequents, he should start picking at it.

4) after a while you can try using a worm feeder... (You can chop up meaty foods/blood worms and put them in there).

Goto my reef site (http://www.danj.com/reef ), and check out the web cam... look down at the far end of the tank to see my feeder.

Try bloodworms everyday. Should start eating after a while. Then use musid shrimp. They also like live glass fish < 1cm in size (from local wharf)
