Copperband eat$ frozen?

I have a 150 gallon reef that was getting overpopulated with aptasia, which prompted my purchase of a 3" CBB. After a day or so of getting used to the neighborhood, he went to work on the little pests. I tried to get him interested in mysis and small pieces of clam, but he never really caught on. After about three months, he had eaten every aptasia in the tank and didn't live much longer. The tank had been going successfully for 18 years with no troubles. I viewed the fish as a healthy specimen but with a picky diet. Maybe if the aptasia WEREN'T there in the beginning, he might have taken to the mysis? Who knows. I'm not in the habit of losing fish and am not sure if I will try again until I know what will improve my odds of success.

BTW, Foster & Smith are advertising the Phantom Bannerfish as "an excellent method of aptasia control." (or very similarly phrased). After a month's wait, I got one. He is cute, hardy, eats well during the past three weeks and seems to get along well with others. As for being a menace to aptasia? Not so sure.
