Copperband, which tank??

prickles

Okay so I wanted a copperband when I first started but people said they wouldn't eat and would die. A local reefer was selling his 2 year old copperband that ate mysis happily, so I snapped it up. I however didn't really think about what I had done in the mean time.

I have two tanks that could hold him, one which is a softie/LPS tank that I worry he will nip at the corals, and one that is an SPS tank that has a powder blue and a chocolate tang in it. I worry that since he is a "pancake" shaped fish, the tangs might not get along with him. What do you recommend on which tank to put him in?

many thanks!!

I recommend quaratine by himself until you are sure he is eating well
Then either tank will be fine--I have a good size one in a mixed reef tank with 4 tangs--not a problem

all he eats is mysis also. They will eat black worms if availabl in your area
