Just bought the Copperband Butterfly from LA. S'posed to arrive tuesday.
I had been looking for one locally but didn't like the way they looked.
Cost more on LA when you include shipping but at least I know I will get a healthy fish.
I had one previously but lost it and everything else when a 250w MH lost its glass sleeve while I was on vacation.
The UV fried everything in a 3 year running SPS tank.
I hope this one is an aiptasia eater like the last one.

Well your odds on it eating aiptasia are about 50/50. Some do, some don 't Your biggest challenge will be to get it to eat at all. Ask DD what they have been feeding it.

if it was in divers den you have a great chance it will eat mysis. if he still doesn't try live black worms to start.

Yeah, normally I don't recommend buying Copperbands online as you can't see them eating like you would at a LFS but in this case, you should be fine. Have purchased many times from LA and all their livestock has thrived. Nice buy and congrats on the nice fish. Remember to post pics when you get it.

Hopefully this one will be like the last one. It came from the LFS.
That one ate everything I fed the tank and took care of the aips.

Called DD and they said they have been feeding frozen mysis and brine shrimp.

Hope she does well.I just rescued one that did'nt look too good,but I knew I could save her,or him.LFS guy fresh water dipped it to get rid of the crud on its sides,and knocked off two bucks.Well,I showed him,starved it for a few days,and it mows aiptasia.Next,is the peppermint shrimp order from Reeftopia.BTW-three weeks on the Copperband Sunday the 6th.Good luck,John
