copperbanded butterfly

The first CBB was smaller and the 2nd and 3rd were similar in size. It just seems as they are intollerant of other similar fish. I was thinking about looking for a heathly one that is larger than the other fish and eating well. Maybe the size will scare the tangs off?

I just upgraded my tank, so no one had any territory staked out when I added the CBB. Its only been 2 days, but so far everyone is getting along well. Perhaps doing the trick of pulling the tangs out and put them in your qt for about a week. Move the rocks around at the beginning of the week, give the cbb a chance to get its territory set. Add the tangs back, and they will then have to find new territory as everything has been moved.

I worked at a store that got these quite frequently.. what i did was mix live blackworms, frozen bloodworms, mysis, bits of krill, brine(frozen), live brine, along with flake..i think a frozen food i used also was mega marine which has blackworms, krill, urchin, squid.. they liked all of the food i gave them.. they really attacked the live blackwoms.. i mixed all of these because i know they probably hadnt eaten in awhile through shipping and holiding everywhere they had been.. within a few days of this had them eating anything i offered whether it be the live, frozen only, or flake..
