I have a 125 gallon tank that is going on 4 months old. Some of the corals I have are looking a little iffy. the corals i have are zoas, a acro, and a war coral. The zoas dont ever open fully all the time. They have been in the tank for approx a month. the war coral has been in there for a couple weeks. The Acro for over a month. The tank has halides with compact flourescents and leds. the halides are on for 3 hrs in total over the course of the day. The rest is the compacts and leds in the mourning and night. Please tell me what might be wrong. I did tests and heres the results.

Please Help me out TY!!!

Acroporas require high lighting IME. You should try bumping up the m/h time. Do it a little each week for a month. Try to get ur m/h time up to around 7 hrs. I would work on getting your alk up as well. You can do this by adding 2 part (use the alk part) to raise your alk. Then drip kalk to keep your alk and ca. balanced. Hope this helps...

Can you take a picture of them? I'm guessing your elevated PO4 may be part of the issue, although .17 is less than mine lol.

since I was talking to fishman about this today. Whats the best way to drip kalk. Dripping the solution directly into the tank. Or topping off with it?

So went to Saltwater Paradise today and talked to joe for a bit. He says that my water conditions are typically normal for the stage my tank is in right now. The corals on the other hand he says that since they are zoanthids, they are very susceptable to bugs. FYI I have never dipped my corals before. So he set me up with some Revive solution that smells like a lime cleaning solution and I am in the process of currently dipping all my corals. Heres pics of everything and my new Additions!

I have more zoas just dont feel like messing around with the camera anymore.
Pics are a littly shitty but it shall do for now.

Personally, the Revive may not be strong enough to help much. The zoanthids may just need to adjust to conditions in our tank. Give them a few days if they don't improve I'd try a dip in standard 3% hyrdogen peroxide mixed at one part to 3 parts tank water and dip for 5 minutes.

Is anything nipping them. What fish do you have?
1.024 is ok but on the low end. I prefer 1.026.

I would def get some more flow going if you think you need it. Imo With zoa frags that small move them to low light. On the sand at the edge of a rock, Under an overhang, or lean the frag plug on its side. I even seen some take off only after flipping them over in the sand.

And as far as anything with hard skeleton, i find that alk stability and how its added is key.

so you think it may be because of too much light???? There are halides over the tank but there on for only 3 hrs a day. i do need flow....hopefully order some or get some for christmas. and is hydrogen peroxide ok to get into the tank or should they be rinsed before going back in? An i feel like they should have adjusted by now because i have had them for close to a month.

I may be in DEEEEEEEEEEEEP DOODOO!!!!!!!!!!! So I dipped the corals for a second time and some things did fall off.....but when i looked into the bucket i used a little closer...there were all these little brown specs. So i looked in the tank and alllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll over the glass and some rocks are these little tiny brown flat things that are oblong and he a split tail it looks like. The pic i got is the best i can do for now. Otherwise any closer just looks blurry. I need HELP AND QUICK WITH SOME CRITTER ID!! I dont know if they are causing the problem or not I just need some advice. If anyone wants to come over and look at them just pm me and ill shoot ya back.
